Joe Delaney Passes

 

It is with heavy heart that we inform you of the death of Joe Delaney on August 7, 2002 in Las Vegas, NV.  Joe managed the Real Dukes of Dixieland from the early 1950's thru 1966, but he was more than a manager to the Assunto family. Joe was a family friend. He was there when the Real Dukes of Dixieland created their legacy in the music industry. Such as, their Audio Fidelity recordings in stereo, an industry first. There when the first true Dixieland Jazz Band played and recorded in Carnegie Hall. For these and countless other things we say thank you to Joseph P. Delaney for his involvement in helping to create the legacy that is The Real Dukes of Dixieland.
