Stanley "Happy" Mendelson |

| New
Orleans and the Real Dukes of Dixieland Family have lost a true
musician and long time friend with the death of Stanley 'Hap'
Mendelson on Friday, October 4, 2002. 'Hap' as he was called
toured with and recorded many albums in his 10 plus years with
the Assunto led Dukes of Dixieland. Stanley played piano on all
the Audio Fidelity recordings. Those recordings consist of
highlites such as; the first Jazz Band to record in stereo,
first true Jazz Band to play and record an album in Carnegie
Hall and their recording sessions with Louis Armstrong...just to
name a few. As Stanley's recordings on Audio Fidelity were in
many ways musical landmarks on their own, 'Haps' lifetime
relationship with our family meant so much more....thank you
Stanley 'Happy' Mendelson. Below are a few photos of Stanley we would like to share with you.
