RUNDELL, THOMAS

Thomas "Tommy" Edward Rundell, 84, of Las Vegas, passed away Jan. 12, 2004. He was born Sept. 15, 1919 in Alton, Ill. and was a longtime resident of Las Vegas. Tommy was an entertainer with many bands such as The Dukes of Dixieland, traveled around the world with The Andrew Sisters and The Mills Brothers, where he was also the musical director & conductor. A member of the screen actors guild, he made numerous movie appearances, including "The Electric Horseman", "Oh God,You Devil" & "The Silver Bears". He was also cast in a variety of television shows such as "Vegas" with Robert Urich, "Charlie's Angels" and "Hill Streets Blues". He hosted a local radio show, he was later a television sports anchor for KTNV channel 13. He and his wife, Ethylee Rundell, enjoyed over 40 years together before she passed, ironically three years to the day before him. Tommy is survived by his son, Greg and his wife, Kathy; and his daughter, Andrea and her husband, Mark. Services are private. Donations can be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice.
